HRHS BYOD

What is BYOD?

"Bring your own device" (BYOD) refers to technology models where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning. A personally owned device is any technology device brought into the school and owned by a student (or the student's family), staff or guests" (Alberta Education, 2012).

BYOD is a solution where students bring their own laptop to school in order to access the internet and/or school network by 4G or

Wi-Fi.

What is BYOD at HRHS?

From Term 1, Week 1 2018, Hunter River High School will allow Year 7 students to bring their own device (laptop) to school. This BYOD Hub has been developed as a comprehensive online resource for parents and students, to help them through decisions, preparation and successful use of devices at school.
