There are so many great Apps you can download and implement into your teaching and learning programs. If there's something in particular you wish to use with your class it's a good idea to have the application added to your faculty iPad set by the TSO. You can also request to have it added to the school iPad trolley.

GATS classes prior to 2018 were encouraged to purchase an iPad for their learning. If you teach one of these classes you can expect that the majority of students have an iPad and should be able to personally download the Apps you wish to use. A number of our students, particularly senior have iPhones and may wish to download the App on their phone.

Here's a list of popular Apps teachers at our school are using as part of their teaching and learning programs. If you would like training or specific examples as to how to include this technology in your pedagogy please contact the Future Focused Learning Coordinator.

TED-ED: Use this app to locate  add engaging video content to topics that you are studying.

Kahoot: So much more than a Quiz App. A must have for informal assessment in any teaching and learning program.

Popplet: An outstanding App for creating brainstorm and mind map summaries. Easy to use, share, download and print.

Chegg: A digital flashcard App. Great for students studying the metalanguage of your subject. Options to create and share amongst their peers.

Class Dojo: This App can be a useful classroom management tool. Create an account on the website and operate it from your SMARTboard or iPad.

Socrative: Features a whole raft of assessment and learning tools for teachers.

Oxford Dictionary: It might seem like an obvious one but it's a handy learning/reference tool for all students.

Evernote: Another option for note taking and organisation of student work. This application may appeal to some where One Note, Word or Pages may not fit the brief.

Animoto: A free and easy to use Video app. Students thread together images, clips, music and text to create their own unique clips.

iMovie: Offers great templates in the movie trailer section. Also offers students to opportunity to film and edit movies with professional visual effects. Best used in conjunction with the school Mac.
